Antimony trioxide (chemical formula Sb₂O₃) is an inorganic compound. Its natural form is called stibnite and it is commonly known as white antimony. It is a white crystalline powder with a melting point of 655°C and a boiling point of 1550°C. Here are its key physical and chemical properties:

Solubility: Soluble in concentrated hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, alkaline solutions and hot tartaric acid solutions; slightly soluble in water, dilute nitric acid and dilute sulfuric acid.

Crystal form: Cubic form (density 5.2 g/cm³) and orthorhombic form (density 5.67 g/cm³) exist. The former is composed of Sb₄O₆, while the latter has a chain structure.

Thermal properties: Turns yellow upon heating and returns to white upon cooling. The heat of fusion is 54.4–55.3 kJ/mol.
